Wilson WindowWare proudly announces WINCHECK, an easy-to-use and
attractive Windows 3.0 checkbook balancing program.
WINCHECK's purpose is to assist in balancing a personal checking and
savings account. It can also print checks on virtually any pre-printed
check form -- both dot matrix and laser checks are supported. All data
entered into the program can be exported into EXCEL compatible files for
more sophisticated analysis and tax-time computations.
WINCHECK has an exceptionally attractive and easy-to-use interface.
Checks and other transactions appear as 3-D dialog boxes with bitmapped
backgrounds. Standard operations, such as writing a check or making a
deposit, are performed by clicking on a 3-D iconic toolbox.
WINCHECK is a shareware product distributed by Wilson WindowWare of
Seattle. Fully functional evaluation copies are available for download
from Compuserve, WINAPA forum, Data Library 15.

This new version of WinCheck, having been through the mill quite a
few times, finally appears to be at the bug free state we've been
dreaming of for quite some time.
For those of you who have been with us since the inception of WinCheck,
we conquered the embarrassing "What!!?? It can't add bug", the infamous
"Details file" bug, the "Split Transaction UAE bug", and an incredibly
long series of ankle-biter bugs.
If you are new to WinCheck, just be thankful of all the pain and
anguish your predecessors have endured waiting for WinCheck to become
the first-rate product it is now.
Complete disk-based documentation is available in the installation
directory as WINCHECK.TXT. It is too large to view with the NotePad
editor. You can use Windows Write (be sure to select the Courier Font
to make the Tabs come out correctly), the file Browser that comes with
Command Post, WSmooth from PC Magazine, or actually most DOS based
file viewers. Just copy the file to your printer to print it. For
Example, copy it to LPT1 from File Manager. Or from the DOS (I know,
I know) prompt:
C:\WINCHECK> COPY WINCHECK.TXT LPT1

REGISTRATION REMINDERS
Unlicensed copies of WinCheck are 100% fully functional.
Unlicensed copies of WinCheck have a pesky registration reminder screen
that pops up whenever you start the program. Thats it!
We're not going to beat you about the head and shoulders with our
reminder screens. We're sure that once you see the incredible quality
of our software, you will dig out your credit card, pick up the phone,
call the nice people at our 800 number and register WinCheck.
When you pay for the shareware you like, you are voting with your
pocketbook, and will encourage us to bring you more of the same kinds
of products. Pay for what you like, and voila, more of what you like
will almost magically be developed.

ON-LINE SUPPORT
WinCheck has on-line support on a number of computer systems.
First of all, the home of WinCheck is on Compuserve, in the
WINAPA forum, in the Wilson WindowWare section (#15 currently). Also
the latest and greatest downloads are available from DL15 of the
WINAPA forum. The Wilson WindowWare section of the WINAPA forum
is checked on a daily basis, and all questions will be responded to.
The FidoNet Windows echomail conference is also monitored for Windows
questions in general. Questions about Windows and WinCheck will
be answered in the echo.
If your budget is not able to afford Compuserve, we strongly suggest
that you contact your local BBS sysops and encourage them to carry
the Windows echomail conferences.

SOFTWARE LICENSE
WinCheck is not and has never been public domain
software, nor is it free software.
Non-licensed users are granted a limited license to use
WinCheck on a 21-day trial basis for the purpose of
determining whether WinCheck is suitable for their
needs. The use of WinCheck, except for the initial
21-day trial, requires registration. The use of
unlicensed copies of WinCheck, outside of the initial
21-day trial, by any person, business, corporation,
government agency or any other entity is strictly prohibited.
A single user license permits a user to use WinCheck
only on a single computer. Licensed users may use the
program on different computers, but may not use the program
on more than one computer at the same time.
No one may modify or patch the WinCheck executable
files in any way, including but not limited to
decompiling, disassembling, or otherwise reverse
engineering the program.
A limited license is granted to copy and distribute
WinCheck only for the trial use of others, subject
to the above limitations, and also the following:
1) WinCheck must be copied in unmodified form, complete
with the file containing this license information.
2) The full machine-readable WinCheck documentation must
be included with each copy.
3) WinCheck may not be distributed in conjunction with
any other product with out a specific license to do so
from Wilson WindowWare.
4) No fee, charge, or other compensation may be requested or
accepted, except as authorized below:
A) Operators of electronic bulletin board systems (sysops)
may make WinCheck available for downloading only as
long as the above conditions are met. An overall or
time-dependent charge for the use of the bulletin board
system is permitted as long as there is not a specific
charge for the download of WinCheck.
B) Vendors of user-supported or shareware software approved by
the ASP may distribute WinCheck, subject to the
above conditions, without specific permission. Non-
approved vendors may distribute WinCheck only after
obtaining written permission from Wilson WindowWare.
Such permission is usually granted. Please write for
details (enclose your catalog). Vendors may charge a
disk duplication and handling fee, which, when pro-rated
to the WinCheck product, may not exceed eight dollars.
C) Non-profit user groups may distribute copies of the WinCheck
diskette to their members, subject to the above conditions,
without specific permission. Non-profit groups may collect
a disk duplication fee not to exceed five dollars.
LIMITED WARRANTY
Wilson WindowWare guarantees your satisfaction with this
product for a period of 60 days from the date of original
purchase. If you are unsatisfied with WinCheck
within that time period, return the package in saleable
condition to the place of purchase for a full refund.
Wilson WindowWare warrants that all disks provided are
free from defects in material and workmanship, assuming
normal use, for a period of 60 days from the date of
purchase.
Wilson WindowWare warrants that the program will perform
in substantial compliance with the documentation supplied
with the software product. If a significant defect in
the product is found, the Purchaser may return the
product for a refund. In no event will such a refund
exceed the purchase price of the product.
EXCEPT AS PROVIDED ABOVE, WILSON WINDOWWARE DISCLAIMS ALL
WARRANTIES, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT
LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND
FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, WITH RESPECT TO THE
PRODUCT. SHOULD THE PROGRAM PROVE DEFECTIVE, THE
PURCHASER ASSUMES THE RISK OF PAYING THE ENTIRE COST OF
ALL NECESSARY SERVICING, REPAIR, OR CORRECTION AND ANY
INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES. IN NO EVENT WILL
WILSON WINDOWWARE BE LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES WHATSOEVER
