Information about “WSMX80”
Designed to be used with Epson MX/RX/FX dot matrix printers and
"Epson-compatible" printers, this product provides an impressive
variety of enhancements for WordStar documents. It should be
especially useful to users of WordStar involved with mathematical and
scientific notation. Character density, size and style are all subject
to a wide range of variation. Any part of the document can be printed
in italics, boldface, "doublewide" or compressed type. Sub-scripts and
superscripts are included. WSMX80 prints a variety of underline styles
and strikeovers. WSMX80 can insert alternate character sets, such as
the Greek alphabet included in the product, or custom character sets
designed by the user. There are also features for Table of Contents
and Indexes of the document being printed.
System Requirements: WordStar 3.0 or better. Epson printer or
compatable, 256K memory, one drive and either a color or mono display.
How to Start: Consult the .TXT and .DOC files for documentation. To
run a program marked .EXE or .COM, just type its name, i.e., for
WSMX.EXE, type WSMX and press <ENTER>.

.DM ters. Double-high characters will be generated when you
.DM set the line height with a ..lh 21# command, load this alternate
.DM set with the ..ac DBL.CHR command, and print two consecutive
.DM lines with the same text first in upper case and then in
.DM lower case. See the example at the end of this file.

WORDSTAR print commands, WSMX80 can easily direct any part of the document
to be printed in italics, boldface, "doublewide" or compressed type. Sub-
scripts and superscripts are included as well.
In addition to character enhancement, WSMX80 prints a variety of underline
styles; single, double or wavy, and strikeovers with slashes or dashes. WSMX80
can insert alternate character sets, such as the Greek alphabet included in the
product, or custom character sets designed by the user.
There are also features which allow for redefining control characters;
setting up Table of Contents and building Indexes of the document being printed.
WSMX80 enables the WORDSTAR user to produce handsome, professional docu-
ments, and it operates and presents itself in a professional, well designed
format. It adds many features to a WORDSTAR presentation, and does so in a
simple, concise manner.

▓ This disk has the files for WSMX80 including the ▓
▓ manual on the disk. The first thing that you will want ▓
▓ to do is to make a copy of the entire disk. Then you ▓
▓ will want to make your own copy of the manual. To do so, ▓
▓ use the following procedure: ▓
▓ (1) Log the computer to the drive that this disk is in ▓
▓ (that is, if it is in drive B:, type "B:" so ▓
▓ that you get a "B>" prompt. ▓
▓ (2) Make sure that your printer is on. Set it so that ▓
▓ it is NOT "ON-LINE" or NOT "SELECT"ed, and ▓
▓ press the formfeed button. If the ▓
▓ perforations do not line up just above the ▓
▓ print head, use the knob on the roller (not ▓
